Industry Advisory Board Meeting 17.03.2017

17th of March 2017 in TSU ABET Office Electrical and Electronics Engineering Program held an Industry Advisory Board Meeting. The meeting was attended by:

1. Giorgi Ghvedashvili – Head of Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering (TSU)
2. David Kakulia - Associate Professor of Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering (TSU)
4. Revaz Zaridze – Emeritus Professor of TSU
5. Roman Jobava - Managing Director at EMCoS
6. Fridon Shubitidze - Associate Professor of Thayer School of Engineering, Dartmouth College (USA)
7. Goga Bit-Babik - Chief Technology Office, Motorola Solutions, Inc.Fort Lauderdale, Florida, USA

Members of the board had read the curriculum and prepared advice based on the industry demands and practical experience. Main advice was to add General Education Courses to the curriculum and make sure students receive hands-on experience through group work and design components. Since this was the first IAB meeting, members were introduced to ABET process and planned the meeting in every six months.
